Should I Be Concerned About Lumps Passed During Miscarriage And Will This Effect Future Pregnancy?

I had a miscarriage today at 14 weeks. I passed the placenta about an hour ago, and I noticed that there did not appear to be a baby, but deep dark red lumps/bumps, and quite a few of them. Are these placenta lakes? And could this be a missed miscarriage? I had spotting at 6 weeks, but continued to have symptoms and no other spotting until about a week and a half ago. My husband said he thought he saw a vein, but we saw no recognizable body, or parts. Could this just mean that the baby wasn't actually 14 weeks but only passed now? Are the lumps something to be concerned about for future pregnancies? This was my first pregnancy. Thank you.

Hi
From your notes it appears that you did not register for antenatal care and did not have any ultrasound. It seems you had miscarriage at home.

At 14 weeks pregnancy the fetus is of the size of a lemon (about 3 and 1/2 inch) and pinkish. So it is unlikely that you will miss seeing it unless it was hidden under those dark red lumps. So probably baby wasn't of 14 weeks age.

The dark red lumps you saw are blood clots and nothing else. So don't worry.
In your next pregnancy you must register for antenatal care.
Wish you good luck.
