Should I Be Concerned About Swollen Lymph Nodes In My Neck And Groin?
I am 31 year old female. I have persistently swollen lymph nodes in my neck and groin. The ones in my neck were checked by an ENT doctor 6 months ago but he wasn't concerned. He said they were reactive but only of concern if they grew. The lymph nodes in my groin are harder than the ones in my neck but smaller. I am worried sick. Please help
Hi. Thanks for your query. Once should certainly be worried abut the enlarged nodes as these definitely indicate some sort of infection. Noted your history of Female/31 years old, has persistent swollen lymph nodes in the neck and groin too. ENT Surgeon has seen and declared these as reactive and you also have lymph nodes in the groin which are hard. I would advise you the following: Tests of the blood and urine. Excision biopsy from the neck and the inguinal area is very important as this will give a definite diagnosis and a plan for further treatment.
