Should I Be Concerned As I Am Having Fever, Coughing And Itching In My Face After Treating A Measles Patient?
good evening doctor. I had my duty in the hospital the other day and I just took meal to this patient who had meassle. the next day I felt ichy in my face and in the evning I had fever and coughing . until now my rashes reach my throat down to my stomach. went for a check up in the hospital ER and the doctors finding was only VIRUS allergy and gave me anti histamine medicine. should I go back foranother check up?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can really appreciate your concern, you became too much conscious and you might came under the impression that you are going to get measles in fact that is not true, because after the exposure this takes 8 to 12 days for clinical manifestation, if you have some kind of symptoms then this could be due something else, allergic condition is very likely, keep taking antihistamine and no need to worry about that, every thing will be alright, hope this information helps, have nice day.
