Should I Be Concerned As My Son's Lower Lip Is White After Suturing?

Hi, my 2yr old son lacerated his inner lower lip.. Which got sutured up. One of the sutures fell out a day later.. However the area is white/off white. I have been keeping it clean and he has been on a course of amoxicillin. Is this white normal... He eats and plays as if nothing was wrong. But I am concerned about this white area?
