Should I Be Worried About The Discomfort In My Arm After Implanon Implant?
I just received the Implanon implant today. After a couple of hours the numbing medicine wore off. I started to notice when I bend my arm to touch my shoulder or straighten my arm all the way out it feels like the top part of the implant is being pushed out of my skin. Should Ibe worried?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI I have read your query & understand your concern. - Actually bandage should be kept for first 24 hours after insertion. Also restrict hand movements to minimum for 24 hours. -Mild bruzing & discomfort at the insertion site are common for few days. - Please consult your doctor if you find the implant pressing out even after 2 days / there are signs of infection or inflammation. Thanks.
