Should I Be Worried Of Back Pain, Elevated Alt Levels And Dark Green Colored Bowel Movement?

I have been experiencing middle right back pain when I take deal breaths. I have also been told that my ALT levels are slightly elevated. I have recently realised that I have excreted dark green stool.

Could this mean anything serious? I am not an alcoholic btw.

Hi, thank you for posting.

Basing on your symptoms I think that you have gallbladder problems, that is manifested with abdomen pain that is spread on middle right back, bloating and dark green stool.
To determine the exact diagnosis you need:
1- Abdominal Ultrasound.
2- Colecystography.
3- Complete blood count.
4- Urine test.
5- Liver function test.

You should contact your gastroenterologist and he will determine if Ct-scan is needed.

Take Care.
Dr. Behar.
