Should I Be Worried Of The Test Results?

Hi ..............my total biblirubin is 1.46....direct is 0.27 and indirect is 1.19..all are marked in bold in my lab report.........im 44 yrs old and went in for a normal liver function test

is it a serious issue and Please advise what i should do to bring it to normal levels

Thanks for writing to HCM

Total bilirubin level is increased.It is important to know other parameters of LFT like SGOT,SGPT,GGT,etc.
You need proper clinical examination and investigations.If only bilirubin level is increased then Gilbert syndrome should be ruled out.
You also need investigations like routine hemogram,RBS(Random blood sugar),Lipid profile,Renal function test,Viral markers,Ultrasound of abdomen.Further investigations can be done if needed.

You can take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.
