Should I Consult A Doctor As My Son Is Having Fever?

My 4 year old son had a fever of 39.4 degrees celsius yesterday at midday, after nurofen the fever dropped but rose again by 6 pm to 38.7 degrees. After nurofen and panadol the fever dropped, but rose again at 6 am to 37.83 degrees. I have now given some more nurofen and the temp has dropped to normal. Should we see a doctor today or wait?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
If it is viral fever it will subside with your medicines in a couple of days.
There is no use of repeating the medicines frequently.
Better consult doctor to arrive at a diagnosis and proper treatment.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
