Should I Continue Taking Injections For UTI If Feeling Fine?

hi doctor I was suffered from urine infection last week.Doctor gave me saline that day and from next dat ive been taking magnex antibiotic injection twice a day. I had already taken 8 injection but doctor is saying its a 7 day course.I am feeling completely fine now .shall I continue taking those injections?

Thanks for query.
You had UTI and your Dr has been giving Inj Magnex twice a day .

Magnex is comparative costly drug .Was urine culture done to find out the organisms causing infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Normally we prescribe injectable antibiotics only in a situation when organisms are resistant to all commonly used antibiotics that are available in tablet form or infection is very severe ( Urosepsis.)

You can get culture test done if it turns out to be sterile you may discontinue taking Magnex else take antibiotics as per culture report .
