Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

The investigation needed for confirming the type of nodule is FNAB (Needle biopsy). The recommendation is to do it under ultrasound guidance. Both Endocrinologist and radiologist do that.

If there is an option between ultrasound guided needle biopsy and direct needle biopsy without scan guidance, always prefer the ultrasound guided one. That will give more results than direct needling.
