Should I Go For Endocrinologist Biopsy Or Radiologist Needle Biopsy For Adenomas?
I have had an ultrasound of the thyroid and parathyroid glad and they found two adenomas on the parathyroid and the throid. Should I have a endocrinologist biopsy or go to a dr I radilogist to do the needle biopsy. I live in McLean, Virginia Tel. 703 790 1984

The investigation needed for confirming the type of nodule is FNAB (Needle biopsy). The recommendation is to do it under ultrasound guidance. Both Endocrinologist and radiologist do that.
If there is an option between ultrasound guided needle biopsy and direct needle biopsy without scan guidance, always prefer the ultrasound guided one. That will give more results than direct needling.
