Should I Meet Doctor For Pain In Adams Apple Area, Hoarse Voice And Difficulty In Swallowing?

Age 27, Male, hockey injury to throat. Not sure if it was end of a stick or elbow as it happened quickly. Resulted in pain, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness of voice. Happened 3-4 hours ago, and symptoms remain. Pain is in the area of the adams apple. Should I see a doctor or wait it out?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
As you are having hoarseness and dysphagia, I am suspecting a recurrent laryngeal nerve injury. You can rule out that with the help of an ENT doctor. The nerve injury might get resolved gradually with out treatment in some cases. Corticosteroids are advised in some cases and have got good results.Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Let me know if you have any further query.
