Should I Meet Doctor For Sore Arm After Flu Shot?

Hi, I got a flu shot a couple days ago. For a few days my arm was very sore (that s usual, I know) but then three days ago I realized my pain moved up to the base of my neck where I know feel a lump under my skin. Is that normal or should I seek Medical Attention for it? If it is normal, how many days do you usually keep it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a side effect of the shot.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain .
I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.
The symptoms may last for a few days.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
