Should I Postpone My Pregnancy Till Completion Of TB Treatment?

My husband is being treated for TB after deployment in Afghanistan. He had a false-positive skin test and chest x-ray showed no active TB. However, the military physicians still want him to undergo the treatment. We are trying to get pregnant and wonder if we should postpone until the treatment has been completed.

Thanks for asking to healthcaremagic.I understand your concern.
Brief answer: Not necessary
Detailed answer:If i am his treating physician, wouldn't advise to postpone the pregnancy till the completion of treatment as anti tubercular drugs like rifampicin, isoniazid etc doesn't affect the reproductive potential of a person usually, provided he/she is tolerating the therapy without any side effects.Hope i have answered your query. If any further question, happy to answer you.Take care.
