I have been diagnosed with Hydrosalpinx in my left fallopian tube. Age 50, had a partial hysterectomy at age 38 due to fibroid tumors (also had 3 fibroid surgeries). My Dr will try to remove the fallopian tube laproscopicaly, but thinks with all the scar tissue from other surgeries, she will probably have to cut. The transvaginal scan showed no issues with the ovaries, and no signs of malignancy.
So, 2 questions: 1. what are the odds that this may be cancerous? (just had a CA 125 test that was a 10) Are there tests they perform upon removal of the tube?
2. should I consider removing the ovaries too?
thanks
