Should I See A Doctor For Discoloration Underneath Left Big Toenail?
I have a discoloration underneath my left big toenail. I thought it was black from a new pair of shoes I wore. I had a pedicure on Saturday and she said it was under the nail. Should I see my medical doctor? I am making a trip to Haiti on Thursday thru Monday and wanted to make sure what to do.

Hi...discoloration of toenail can be caused by the following:
1.trauma
2.fungal infection
3.associated with skin diseases
4.associated with metabolic diseases
Most common causes are trauma and fungal infection.You have to seek advise for that to rule out the other causes.
