Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Prescription for Clexene after surgery - It is to prevent deep vein thrombosis in your legs. AS far as the practice is concerned - It depends on the geographical region, the surgeon's experience, and your body characteristics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
