Should It Be Matter Of Concern Due To Light Headed At 110/60 BP Level?

My blood pressure was 198/109 on Monday. My Doctor put me on lisinopril/hctz 10/12.5 mg. My pressure has been going down each day. Now 3 days later my last reading was 110/60 and I am very light headed. At what point should I be concerned and call my Doctor? I have not had issues with hypertension before and do not know brought this whole thing on. Thank you for any input.

Hi,
Your lightheadedness may be due to your BP being reduced too rapidly or be secondary to postural hypotension. Your starting dose may be too high. About 1 in 100 people suffer a dizziness on Lisinopril. I suggest you contact your doctor to discuss altering your dosage of lisinopril.
