Should The Microgynon Tablets Be Continued During The Menstrual Cycle?
Hi I just taking Microgynon ed and ferrous fumerate last june 22 (first day of my menstruation ) and my menstruation lasts for 7 days (that s regular when I m having my period) .My concern here is what should I do because I have remaining 6 tablets but I think I have my period now .I m I going to take that remaining or I ll buy a new set ? Thankyou!
That's a good question. If a similar patient comes to my clinic, I would recommend continuing the pills and finish the pack without disturbing the schedule, irrespective of an early period.
This helps in maintaining hormonal balance. Disturbing the pill pack may cause hormonal imbalance, that may disturb next few cycles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
