Should The Delivery Be Normal Or C-section After Dermoid Cyst Removal?
My wife had a surgery when she was 16 week pregnant because of thr dermoid in right ovary. surgery was a success and we were able to save pregnancy too. Now my Query is
Q:1 Should we go for normal delivery?
Q:2 Should we go for painless?
Q:3 C section again?
Yes, you can go for a normal delivery, as the surgery was at 16 weeks and by the time of delivery the stitches would have healed well. Any form of pain relief that is epidural, nitrous oxide, pethidine can be given to her during labour. None of them are contraindicated due to this history of dermoid removal. Caesarean section should be done only for obstetric indications. As caesarean can be a little more complicated as it is more likely to have adhesions intra-operatively due to previous surgery.
Hope this helps. Regards.
