Should The Injection After Dog Bite Be Taken In Hand ?
Hai Doctor On december 7th one stray dog bite me and I went the nearest hospital and tokk tetanus injection and Rabipur injection. Then I took 2nd injection on 10th but not in hand. And the schedule also the Dr given me Dec 7,10,17,24and 7 th January 2014. This was I am following. But today my regular told me that this wrong. Wahat can I do sir Pl reply. Rajaram M P
Rabipur is an intramuscular injection ( given in the muscle). In adults, it is recommended that it is given in the deltoid muscles which are found in the upper arm. It is not recommended in the thigh or buttock region.
If it was not given in the correct way then it may not have been as effective as it should be.
