Should The Medications For Diabetes Be Continued Even If The Levels Are Under Control?
sir, i am 57 yr old height-5 .3 weight 60 kg. my sugar leven increased fasting 200 and pp-378 mg% my family dr. has advised me undernoted medicines 1.Zeminor 1 tab od 2. tab mefomin bd 3. pionorm 2 tab morng and 1 in evening after taking the drugs and controling my diet and life style the sugar level come down to 92 fasting and 120 pp after 15 days. pl Advise me how long and what medician i should take so that my sugar level is under control. my ldl is also in a hire side i.e 161.26 mg/dl h s bisht FROM ALMORA

You will need to continue medicines for diabetes life long but i feel the dosage can be brought down a bit. Please consult your diabetologist and get your dose adjusted. you will also require statins for cardiovascular protection and Raised LDL levels.
