Should We Continue Pregnancy If IgG Is Reactive And IgM Is Negative?
Hi, My wife is pregnent and she is completed 4 months. Our doctor sugested for the Torch Test in which CMV IgM came reactive. After that we consulted with our family doctor in our home town she advised her for restest CMV Igm and IgG. This time IgG came reactive with range of 106 and IgM is negative. Now please suggest whether we should continue with this child or not.
Yes you can continue with your pregnancy if igg is positive. As igg can remain positive for a long time. IG m shows active/recent infection. And so it should be given weightage.when was your igm positive?if it was prior to pregnancy then its not a problem
