Should We Worry About Treadmill Test To Check Stress Showing Mildly Positive For Inducible Ischemia?
Hello Doctor, My husband has under gone TMT few days back as part of normal health check up done every year. But TMT was done for the first time. The report shows that "Test Mildly Positive for inducible ischemia". He is 39 years old. Smokes 2 Cigarettes per day, but not on holidays and weekends. Please see the report details below: BRUCE: Total Exercise Time 10:03 Max HR: 169 bpm 93% od max predicted 181 bpm Max BP: 170/80 Maximum Workload: 12.50 METS Max ST Level -3.55 mm in II; Exercise Stage 4 9:30 Resting Blood Pressure : 120/80 Conclusions: Normal BP Response No Chestpain / Arrhythmia Good Effort Tolerance Test is mildly positive for induced ischemia
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, looking to the conclusion this is nothing to worry, it is all depend upon the person who is reading this tracing, according to him it may be positive but the actually it may not be the case, still I would advise for resting EKG test periodically, regular exercise is also important, again it may not be matter of worry, take care have nice day.
