Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

From the given description, I assume that you suffered a fracture of Greater tuberosity of humerus (which may be missed in initial xray as it will not show up in all xray views).

Generally, if the fracture fragment is displaced, it needs fixation by screws. If it is undisplaced, it may be managed conservatively by shoulder immobilization for 4 weeks followed by gradual physiotherapy exercises to improve the range of motion in the shoulder joint.

A direct clinical examination and xray views are necessary to make a treatment decision.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

hi
thanks for your question.
based on my experience surgery is best option because your recovery is guaranteed there conservative methods like continuous traction but these methods are out dated and you take long to recover.
Hope I answered your question, will be happy to help you if you have more queries.
