General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Cough, fever and haemoptysis(blood in sputum) over a period of months are mostly symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis though there could be other causes like bronchitis, pneumonia or lung neoplasm . you have to get his X-ray chest, sputum examination and blood investigation done. He may also need a CT - scan chest to confirm the diagnosis.
Please visit a chest physician and get his investigation done so that early treatment can be started.
Wishing him good health.
