Shellcal contains
calcium carbonate + vit D3
Evion contains vitamin E
Freeflex forte contains glucosamine sulphate + chondroitin sulphate
All of these are supplements to help you with your joint problems and in normal dose they are not known to cause any adverse effects.
At high dose calcium can cause side effects like
renal stones, bone pain,
muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting,
abdominal pain , insomnia, fatigue, anorexia, arrhythmia.
In severe
hypercalcemia oliguria or anuria and even coma can occur.
Vit E is rarely toxic even in high doses . Blotchy skin, Increased bleeding, Increased triglycerides, Decreased production of thyroid hormones, Decreased activity of vitamin K, Increased hemorrhaging from aspirin or anti-coagulant medications may occur in toxic doses of vit E.
Vit D toxicity causes Dehydration,Vomiting,Decreased appetite,Irritability,
Constipation,Fatigue,Muscle weakness etc.
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are safe and relatively free of side effects when used at the recommended daily dose.Toxic dose can cause heart burn, epigastric pain/tenderness, diarhea, nausea, dyspepsia, constipation, abdominal pain, palpitations, drowsiness, skin reaction, headache, indigestion etc. You should avoid it if you have allergy to shellfish.
