Skin Abscess Under Armpit After Hair Trimming. Had Similar Issue Which Was Diagnosed To Be TB. What Could This Be?
A skin abscess / hard lump under armpit of left hand . It appeared recently after doing a trimming to remove hair around the area.In the past 4 years back i gt such an abscess under right armpit which was removed and told by the doctor that it could be due to tb(gt borderlevel in tb test then) so tuk medication for tb for one and half year...do u think that could be the reason again...the lump is very small compared to last time..plz suggest
Hi dear Welcome to the board of Health care Magic Dear Friend, every time it is not going to be Tubercular Lymphadenopathy, possibilities are less, as this problem of only acute origin and there is history of recently trimming of axillary hairs, so infection might have entered the skin. However because there is a previous history of TB. so to rule out one may go for some investigations like routine blood and cytology of the abscess fluid or tissue. Hope your query is answered Thanks
