Skin Rash On Chest After Mammogram, Please Help

Hello, I recently had a mammogram and have a raised bump rash on my chest - similar to overexposure to sun - could the mammogram have caused it ?

Hi there,

It's because the mammogram involves radio active rays and that can cause some skin reactions. No need to worry as it is temporary. Overall the benefit offered by mammogram in detecting early breast cancer has made the experts still recommend it even though we have slight inconvenience in terms of some skin reactions at times.
