Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel random skipped beats that are very alarming. EKG showed slight inferior repolarization disturbance. Cardiologist also heard split S1 sound and abdominal bruit. Abdominal aortic ultrasound was negative for aneurysm. Stress echo test is next week. I am very worried. I don t want to work out because I am in fear of my heart stopping. I am a 47 year old male. I have been a runner since age 16. I have always been very active and I love to work out. I had a very active summer -- 10K races, lots of mountain biking, etc. How alarmed should I be? I just want to know that I am going to live for another 20-30 years. Much much appreciated!
Hi I read your query and would like to say, that you probably will leave much longer. An abnormal ECG doesn't necessary mean a heart disease and vice versa. Is good that your Angio CT is normal, wait some more days for the stress test if it's normal to than you have nothing to worry. Meanwhile (till the stress test done) avoid excessive physical activity. Hope i answered your query. Dr. Benard Shehu
