I had unprotected sex and I want to test hiv.plz tell me where should I go for these test? I am staying in kolkata and I dont want to tell anyone in this matter. What are these test name? I always slightly coughing.3 to 4 times I seen black particles in my cough.I feel weakness in my left hand and leg.I feel back neck pain also.I am sneezing most of time if there is any pollution or cold atmosphere.
1. HIV testing (ELISA test) is available in private laboratories as well as government hospitals (VCTC) centers. Privacy is maintained in such tests even at Government centers.
2. For your cough and cold you need to get evaluated by a Chest Physician. Investigations that may be required are sputum examination, chest Xray and blood examination. If its a chest infection , then a course of antibiotics may be required.
3. If you are having recurrent episoded of respiratory infections then flu and pneumococcal vaccinations may be taken by you in consultation with your doctor.
