Slightly Overweight, Smokes, Took Depo Shot For Birth Control, Random Pain In Upper Right Chest.
My daughter is 23, she is slightly overweight , smokes, and take the Depo shot for birth control. Randomly she will get a pain in her upper right chest. It will suddenly appear and last for only a few minutes. However, yesterday mid-afternoon she got in her car and her upper right chest began hurting only this time the pain traveled up the right side of her neck and has now moved down her right side and into her back. This pain has been constent and she has no appetite , hurts to breath, walk, or move in general. She was not able to get relief when she tried to sleep last night. Please give any suggestions you might have.

The pain that you have described is more likely to be a muscular pain. This is not likely to be related to the depo shot that she has taken. Rest and mild pain killers will help in decreasing the pain.
