Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Fever and headache can be due to a number of reasons and meningitis is only one of them. Kindly provide the following details so that a proper guidance can be provided:
1. What is the pattern of fever?
2. How is the fever now on day 4?
3. Any cough or running nose?
4. Any vomitings?
An upper respiratory tract infection seems to be most common cause of headache and fever for which appropriate decongestant syrup can be given for relief.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your son an early recovery.
