Small Child, Flu Symptoms, Fever, Cold Hands And Feet. Taking Triaminic. Cure For Symptoms?
my 2 year old has the flu that several other family members have had, but today he s running a fever with COLD hands and feet! He s the youngest of 6 kids and I ve never seen this! I normally give cool baths to reduce fever, but this has me puzzled! I gave him triaminic, is there something better I could do for him? Thank-you!

As you child is having cold and fever you can give Triamnic and Tylenol in prescribed dosage. But the cold feet and hands are concerning signs, How is the child activity ,oral intake and urine output are important. Consult your Pediatrician for the assessment of your child and further management.

Thank you for your query.
It is not unusual to have cold hands and feet when the body temperature is rising fast. This is body's way of conserving the loss of heat. You are doing the right thing by giving your son Triaminic. You should cover him so that the hands and feet become warm and in case he develops fever you should start syp. paracetamol/acetaminophen 5 ml. 4 hrly. if temperature is above 99F by side.
