Small Child, Restless, Always Moving Around, Flapping Arms, Unable To Sit Still. Normal Behaviour?
my baby is 12 weeks old and is contantly moving. It seems to be uncontrollable and he has been like it since he was born. He can not sit still at all as his arm nd legs seem to be moving the whole time. He is flapping his arms now which is not unusual for him but wanted to check this is ok and his twin sister doesnt do this at all.
Considering the baby being 3 month old … there are 2 possibilities.
If the movements stop in sleep or touching the hand… and if it disappears in 3 more months… we may call it normal…
Though it is difficult to imagine without a video… the way you describe these movements may suggest choreoid movements and may need an mri scan of brain.
Occasionally some seizures do mimick this hence an eeg test may be important to rule this out.
