Hello There,
Painful hard lump under the tooth in which you had pain and infection indicates infection still persist in the same.
So i would like to suggest you visit back to your dentist as soon as possible and get the thorough clinical examination done and x-ray of the same tooth for confirm diagnosis and take a proper treatment accordingly.
Meanwhile you can perform warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day.
Nothing to get worried.
Take Care.

Hi

Thanks for writing in.

It indicates there is pus formation in associated tooth.
Did you went for root canal treatment before capping of that tooth?
If yes then there might be some problem in RCT
otherwise there might be carious lesion which has progressed down & formed an abscess.
You need to get an x-ray done of that tooth & get it it examined by your dentist.
Get it treated accordingly.
It might require RCT or extraction based on clinical & radiographic examination.

Dr.Neha
