Small Indentation In Right Thigh Muscle, Getting Deeper, No Bruising, Growing Bigger In Size. Causes And Treatment?
About a month ago I noticed a small indentation running laterally in my right thigh muscle. Since then it have gotten dramatically larger and deeper. There is no bruising and it doesn t hurt. I have never injured my leg. I am 47 year old female and not over weight, I m in good shape with muscular legs. It literally looks and feels like part of my thigh muscle has been scooped out. Any ideas what could have happen?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A sudden appearance of a groove in the muscle could be due to fibrosis. To find out the cause and extent of the fibrosis, an MRI of the thigh will be helpful. Usually in the absence of any trauma, it happens due to benign causes and is not worrisome.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
