Hi
Thank you for your query
It appears that your child has a infantile hemangioma. It is a little excess growth of blood vessels. If it is not causing any symptoms (occluding vision, bleeding frequently or anything of that sort), then nothing should be done because normally it grows till 1 year of age and then starts decreasing. In most cases it disappears completely by 5 years without even a scar. However you should consult a pediatric surgeon to confirm the diagnosis. If there is any symptoms or it does not disappear by 5 years age then we can try different things. One is steroid treatment with or aith out propranalol. Second is injections into the hemagioma. Last resort is surgical excision. All these options have some side effects and hence we try to avoid them especially because it is self resolving. Consult a pediatric surgeon to know whats best for your child.
Hope that helps
God bless you
