Smoked Crack Cocaine, Sore Throat, Neck Swelling. HIV Symptoms?
I had smoked quite a bit of crack cocaine one night and for three days later I had a real bad sore throat and the sides of my neck were swollen. Then after two days I had only pain on the left side of my throat and neck. It went away after 3 days. Can smoking a lot of crack in a night cause this? I don t use it almost ever and the last time I used it was years ago. Could it be something else like HIV? I haven t been sick or anything really just a little cold .
I understand your concerns. I believe that the sore throat as well as neck swelling are symptoms of an upper respiratory tract infection. Smoking crack cocaine can cause you to have these symptoms. I also believe that the HIV symptoms may also be similar to the ones your described and the only way to know is to get a urine or a serum tox screen as well as a screening profile for STDs. I hope this helps relieve your anxiety as well as getting to see and consult a psychiatrist will lead to changes in your lifestyle and have your medical conditions come under control while quitting the usage in rehab.
I hope this helps. Take good care of yourself and have a lovely day!
