Smoker. Easily Prone To Cold, Chest Burns, Tingling Sensation In Back, Chin, Throat, No Fever. Fear Stroke?

Good Evening Doctor,
I have a query. I have always been a bit more sensitive than others to temperature change and I always managed to catch a cold very quickly. Lately I find myself coughing from time to time - no ther symptoms - and sometimes they tarnsform in a 30 minutes coughing fit. What worries me is that the expectoration looks like an infection but in a couple of days it's again clear. No fever though. Another thing is that when I cough I feel like my chest is burning and I feel like a tingling sensation in my back / lungs and in my chin / upper side of the throat. By the time I get a chance to make an appointment, the cough has stopped and the GP tells me my lungs are fine, which I highly doubt.
Do you have any advice ? I am aware that you can't do much over the internet and I need a proper check-up but any help would be much appreciate it. As for some history - I am a smoker - 10-15 ciggaretts per day, my dad had a stroke and a a heart attack when he was around 50. I eat eat way too much chocolate for my own good, work in the hospitality industry, do not manage to eat healthy food most of the days and I eat at very irregular times - twice a day if I am lucky. Took too many antibiotics (amoxiclav, oxacilin ) - about twice a year, as I was very sicklish as a child. I am female and nearly 27.
Kind Regards,
Jo

ENT Specialist Dr. Sudipta Chandra's  Response
Your cough can be due to- 1. Allergy, 2. Sinusitis, 3. Acid Reflux, 4. Laryngeal involvement or 5. Heart problem. So you need Serum IgE levels (blood test), Xray PNS OM view, Fibreoptic Laryngoscopy, Echocardiography & Pulmonary Function Test. These will give you the proper diagnosis.
