Smoker S Lungs White, Fizzy. Tests Negative Except X-ray. Suggestions?
I do have a question about my MOM? She recently went to the Doctor with Urgent Care... and X-Rays were taken of her chest... and it was mention to her that the Doctor noticed that her lungs were White & Fuzzy... She did not know what that meant at all... I understand that she is a smoker for many years... and like anything else she won't be willing to stop smoking at all for any reason... It's pretty much her escape from reality... What can I say... and to think that she went in for her ears & throat pain... Like she was off balance from her trying to get around? They did Administer Meds & lots of Rest... That she needed to go see her own Doctor for her symptoms, she is just afraid of what they may have to explain to her, of what it could be??? She's always been afraid of Doctors.. Always... It's never change back then, and it has not change now... what to do... her son George*
Hello, You mother need to take a course of antibiotics for lung infection , You need to consult a physician as white lungs means that air is not there , it could be fluid collection or solidification due to disease of lungs. If your doctor recommends you can get done a HRCT (high resolution CT scan ) chest to evaluate in detail. advise her to stop smoking.
