Snake Bite, Swollen, Painful, Itching, Have Diabetes, Heart Virus, Breast Cancer. Heeling Time?

2 weeks ago I was bitten on the foot by about a 3 foot copperhead. It is still greatly swollen and painful for about 5 inches up my leg. It is discolored. and in the last couple if days has started itching very intensely. I am sa 67 year old female with type ii diabetes and a virus in my heart that has affected the left ventricle of my heart. In addition I am a breasted cancer survivor? Am I making reasonable progress in healing this ailment? I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Thanks YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since two points are playing very important role in snake bite.
1 Local poison by snake venom , which is causing slough formation as you stated that there is discoloration of skin around the bite.
2 Diabetes since you are a diabetic so utmost care is important . Consult a diabetologist and get his opinion.
In this type of cases I usually treat these as a diabetic ulcer case because bluish discoloration has started so chances of gangrene may be .
Very powerful antibiotics with local wound healing and anti inflammatory drugs needed.
So consultation with a diabetologist is important. Good luck. Dr. HET
