Sore Foot After Fall, Painful. Should I Just Apply Ice And Wait?

I was running down the stairs and missed the bottom step causing me fall and hit the ground pretty hard. It has been 1.5 hours and the top of my right foot is very sore and the arch of my left foot. It is painful to walk but I can move my toes. Is this anything for which I need to see a Dr. or should I just apply ice and give it a while? Thank you

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello srquast,

Thanks for posting your query

You had injury over your feet and it i s tender to touch and painful to walk.

It might be a soft tissue injury or a fracture.

You need a x-ray to rule out any fracture.

You have to visit an orthopaedic surgeon for exam. and treatment plan according to that.

Regards.
