Sore, Swelling And Pressure In Lower Tummy. History Of Apronectomy, Surgery To Remove The Fluid In Drains. Possibility Of Reoccuring Fluid?
i had an apronectomy 4 months ago and had 2 drains in 1 fell out 2 weeks later and doctors took the other 1 out but fluid built back up and had another drain fitted had it in for 8 weeks but a wall had formed around the drain that had been in so had to have more surgery to take out the wall and fluid 11 stitches and another drain for 5 days but 2 weeks on and i am really very sore and a swollen and a lot of pressure on the bottom of my tummy could the fluid have built back up will i have to have a drain in all the time
I understand your concerns. I am glad you have had the apronectomy and I hope you are feeling better for having had the surgery. The complications of the surgery that you mention may not be very serious as long as you are having less number of drains with each healing wound. I also believe that you might have to be on antibiotics to control infection to prevent wound infection. I hope this helps. Please consult your doctor if you have a fever or other complications like wound infections, which needs surgical attention.
Take care and have a lovely day!
