Sore Thorat With Redness And Blisters, Stringy Blood While Spitting. Any Ideas?
Bad sore throat. So I gargled with Organic Apple Cider and Sea Salt. The gargling did reduce the pain. I notice the back of the throat is red with what looks like blisters on it. I also noticed what looks like a little bit of stringy blood when I spit out. I have never noticed the blood when I have gargled in the past. This is the first time gargling with Cider.
Sore throat associated with redness & blisters on the back of throat indicate that you might be having Pharyngitis.
Management includes: 1. Gargle with warm salt water to relieve throat pain. 2. Analgesics like paracetamol 3. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity reports to remove the causative organism. 4. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief. 5. Avoid taking cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.
If the symptoms persist, kindly consult an ENT specialist & get a complete clinical examination done. Investigations like Laryngoscopy & upper GI endoscopy will be helpful to rule out any pathological reason for the symptoms.
Take care.
