Sore Throat. Hurts On Swallowing, Tired, Fever. Had Tmj And Salivary Stones. Thoughts?
I am a 52 yr old female . I woke with a scratchy dry throat . I have had a few past proplems with tjm and saliva stones . This is diferant . I was tired and fev
er low off and on all day yesterday . laid aroud two days now .Seemingly better by last eve. Woke today
and throat very sore . Hurts band when I swollow .
Mostly on the left side. Swollen and red . Painfull extreemly . Hard to swollow . Better no fever now . Nut my throat is bad . What can I do to help me . I wont be able to get into a doctor for a few days . Can you tell me what you think . Hurts most to swollow ?

Hello
After going through your symptoms, i think You might be suffering from tonsillitis. It is the infection of tonsills which are are present in throat. You need to consult ENT specialist for the better management. For pain relieve you can take any analgesic, even paracetamol works well, along with salt water or antiseptic throat gargling to be done twice a day.

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat and fever, throat is painful on swallowing. You are having problem of salivary stone in past.
Considering your symptoms it appears as most probably you are suffering from acute pharyngitis with fever.
You may take now-
(a) Antibiotic- Amoxicillin (500 mg) three times a day.
(b) Anti inflammatory & antipyretic- like Aceclofenac (100 mg) + Paracetamol (500 mg) twice daily.
(c) Decongestant.
(d) Warm saline gargling.
I hope this will help you, if by taking this treatment you can't get relief than consultation with ENT specialist will be necessary for examination and accordingly further treatment.

hello,do gargling with luke warm water twice or thrice daily .Do not take any chocolates or sweet dishes, avoid cold drinks or sour foods/fruits.Take semiliquid diet take care
