Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sore Throat, Body Pain, Foul Smelling, Dark Bowel Movements. Tried Deep Breathing. Treatment?
I have had a sore throat and body pain for the last week. Earlier in the week I could not even get out of bed. Yesterday I had 9 bowel movements all of which were ver smelly, dark and a little soft (not quite diharea). Today I did an expereiment and tried breathing deeply for a few minutes. Suprisingly the body pain subsided though the sore throat is still there.
It will be helpful if you mention the name of any medicine you are taking for your sore throat.
After reading your post, I would suggest that you should go for a Throat swab culture to know the infective organism and the appropriate antibiotic for that organism.
Some antibiotics disturb the normal useful bacterial flora of the intestine resulting in loose motion. Taking probiotic will help in regaining the lost flora and treat antibiotic induce loose motions.
If the problem persists, get yourself clinically examined and investigated.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
