Hi, my 22 year old son had difficulty sleeping due to sore throat and fever two nights ago. He layed around with chills and then feeling warm with temp ranging between 101 and 100 yesterday. He ate apples and scrambled egg whites and oatmeal type foods and drank lots of water. He took Advil cold and sinus at first but switched to aleve every 8 hours. His throat hurt for first day and half of second day. He is eating well the second day. Throat is better but when he gets up quickly head feels weird but then is ok. Fever varies between 99 and 101 on second day. Muscles and throat feel better now. What are the chances this is strep? How long should it take for temp to return to normal? I wanted to take him to urgent care at noon today but he felt better. Thank you!
