Sore Throat, Mucus Is Bright Yellow With Specks Of Blood
I have had a moderate sore throat for over 48 hours now. Also have twice noted very thick, almost chunky consistency post nasal drip . The mucus is bright yellow and tinged with specks of blood. No fever. No cough . No major congestion to speak of. No runny nose. Generally tired. Throat feels like it is getting worse, not better. What could this be and do I need to see the doctor?

on analysing your symptoms you seem to be suffering from rhinosinusitis which needs to be further confirmed by an rhinological examination
in the meantime you can do a steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil / karvol / turmeric powder
