Sore Throat, Roof Of The Mouth Swollen With Lumps On Right Side. Treatment ?

Hi, I hope this is free, as you have advertised. I have had a sore throat for nearly 4 days now. It just came out of the blue, but the worst part is the roof of my mouth has swollen up and there are a couple of lumps on the right side. I have used salt water and an anticeptic gargle from the chemist but it doesnt seem to be easing. Im 43 and have never had a sore throat in my life. AAAAA

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to HCM,

First of all let me mention that there can be all kinds of lumps and bumps in the throat and also color changes majority of which turn out to be normal.

Having said that you must realize that in any case unless the doctor examines the lumps and or maybe even biopsies them we cannot be sure.

meanwhile stop all spicy, oily food and take balanced healthy diet

Get an ENT consult and get an upper GI endoscopy to get a better picture

take care
