Spots Of Blood Where Fistula Plug Is Inserted, Pain While Sitting. Is This Normal?

Dear Doctor

I had a fistula plug insertion for a fistula in ano 13 weeks ago. I saw the surgeon after six weeks and he said it was a success. However I am still getting spots of blood where the plug exited the perianal skin and sometimes get pain when sitting. Is this normal or has the fistula returned? I am not due to see the surgeon until December. I don't have any other diseases such as crohns disease.

Thank you
